Are marine-tec products safe?

Yes, the materials in marine-tec products are safe, non-toxic, non-combustible, and odorless.  

How quickly will Syntho-Glass wraps and Syntho-Patch materials cure?

Syntho-Glass and Syntho-Patch materials are pre-impregnated with a fast-curing, water-activated resin system.  The system begins curing 1-2 minutes after activation in water, and will be fully cured in less than 5 minutes.  Care should be taken prior to restoring full pressure to a repaired line, but in most cases, no more than 20 minutes of setting time is required before resuming full operating pressures.

Will these materials really cure underwater?

Yes.  The resin system in Syntho-Glass and Syntho-Patch materials will cure in salt, fresh, or brackish water and can be applied underwater.  The materials have been used in undersea pipe repair applications for years, and are totally effective in submersed environments.

Are products available in bulk quantities?

Yes.  marine-tec offers component products as well as kits in bulk form.  Materials can be ordered in most any quantity and configuration.  Particularly applicable for commercial fleets and/or repair and salvage yards, we are happy to work with customers to provide a selection and quantity of materials that is most appropriate for the given application.
